Rock Falls Rotarians welcomed Rotary Exchange student from 2011-2012, Selina Ruhnke of Forst, Germany, Monday evening back to Rock Falls.  Selina has now completed her high school in Germany, passed the exit examinations, and earned as a result, the right to a free university education in her designated field of dentistry.  She will most likely be enrolled in the University of Ulm.  She hopes to study abroad - preferably in the United States -  for a portion of her education of five years to reach her goal.  What did she say first?  "I have missed you terribly!"  Spending a year in another country builds lasting friendships;  that is the goal of the Rotary Exchange Program as it builds friendships and better world understanding.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the Rotary Exchange program or becoming a host family to a student on Rotary Exchange should contact President Bob Sondgeroth.
