World Polio Day - October 24

Join Rotarians around the world in creating an awareness of the closeness to the eradication of polio from our world on World Polio Day on Friday, October 24.  Since 1985 Rotarians have contributed more than $1.3 billion and countless volunteer hours to eradicate polio, forever, from our world.  We are ‘this close’ with just the 1% remaining reported cases in the countries of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Nigeria.  With your help and with the match of 2:1 for every dollar donated by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Rotary will complete the eradication of this remaining 1%.  Send any amount of donation to Rock Falls Rotary, PO Box 902, Rock Falls, IL 61071 and know that you did your part.  Visit www.endpolionow.org to view awareness activities planned for October 24^th!
