Members of the Rock Falls Rotary Club fundraised during the month of November through collections of loose change in canisters at several businesses, as well as contributing themselves to the final push to eradicate polio from our world.  With only two countries remaining - Pakistan and Afghanistan with less than 60 cases diagnosed this year- the eradication was progressing as planned, until an outbreak  in a refugee camp in Somalia broke out in late summer.  All the more reason to complete the goal to eradicate polio forever from our lives!  The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will match every dollar of the sum collected 2:1 of $1371 which became as result a total of $4113.  Members of the Rock Falls Rotary Club illustrate the fact that "We are this close....."
